Star Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya, real name Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, recently shared details about his impressive earnings from his YouTube channel.
As the first YouTuber from Ghana to reach one million subscribers, he said that his incredible monthly income, which is completely based on views, ranges from $30,000 to $50,000.
On June 2, Wode Maya discussed his YouTube revenue at The Shine Summit, which was hosted by Ghanaian blogger Augustus Koranteng Kyei, a.k.a. Kobby Kyei.
The YouTuber questioned the viewers about their estimates of his monthly income from his channel’s more than one million members. Wode Maya replied, “I make $100,000,” and then said, “I make between $30,000 and $50,000.”
In addition to his earnings from YouTube, Wode Maya mentioned that he also charges for his advice and business consultations. He emphasized that if he were still working as an aviation engineer, he would not have been able to afford his current car, house, and estate. This further highlighted the financial success he has achieved through his YouTube endeavors.
According to the internet personality, he charges when people seek his advice and also charges when they want him to come over to discuss business.
Wode May added that if he had continued to work as an aircraft engineer, he would not have been able to maintain his estate, home, and vehicle.
