Mohammed Kudus partakes in first training with West Ham

Mohammed Kudus, a top player for Ghana, trained for the first time with his West Ham United colleagues after joining the squad.

Kudus signed a five-year contract with the Hammers on Sunday, becoming the club’s newest acquisition from Ajax Amsterdam.

After John Paintsil and Andre Ayew, he is the third football player from Ghana on the roster of the Premier League team.

Kudus participated in his first practice with his new teammates on Wednesday and appeared to have adapted well.

However, Kudus claimed that playing in the Premier League has been a childhood goal of his and that he will sacrifice everything for West Ham.

“I’ve been dreaming to play in a league like this since I was a kid. I’ve been dreaming of this moment and I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn’t stop here, I want to keep going,” he said after his unveiling.

“I try my best to entertain the fans as I think that’s what football is all about. I’m just here to do my best and help the team. I’m really happy to be here. I will fight for the badge. I can’t wait to get started.”

Kudus, meanwhile, made sure his family was present for his presentation after his dream transfer to West Ham at the weekend.

On Sunday, the English club officially presented the 23-year-old, who was joined by his mother and brothers for the momentous occasion.

Kudus has always had a close relationship with his mother and brothers, so he made sure they didn’t miss this significant period in his professional life.

To celebrate the moment with him, the attacking midfielder flew the trio to East London. They afterwards posed for a group picture at the London Stadium.
