After leaving Qatari champions Al Sadd last Sunday, the Ghana captain signed with Nottingham as a free agent.
During his tenure on Trentside, André will don the number 42 on his shirt.
“It feels amazing to join for Nottingham Forest,” André Ayew said.
“I am aware of the club’s size and the significance it holds for the community and its supporters. Every time I’ve played against Forest and at The City Ground, even though I adore the venue, it’s been challenging.
“Steve Cooper is someone who is very familiar with me and is able to collaborate with me both on and off the field. He is a special coach, a special person, and someone I truly look up to. We have a close relationship.

“I know what I can add to the squad, and I’m willing to give it everything to ensure that we can stay in the Premier League,” the player said.
Since their return to the Premier League, Forest has signed 29 players, including the former Swansea and West Ham player.
Before and after his two-year tenure with the Hammers, Ayew spent two seasons at Swansea. In 89 Premier League outings for both clubs, he scored 21 goals.
He has been playing in Qatar for the past 1.5 years. With 22 goals in 39 games, Ayew had a very excellent scoring record with them. Ayew’s debut season saw him capture the domestic double.
