Eden Hazard will leave Real Madrid on 30 June after reaching an agreement to terminate his deal early.

Despite paying £89 million to join in 2019, Hazard has only appeared in 54 league games, including six this year.

The 32-year-old’s contract with Real Madrid was set to expire in June 2024, but they have “reached an agreement” to terminate it.

The team said it “wished the best of luck for the next stage of his career” to former Chelsea forward Hazard and “expressed its affection” for him.

The Belgian international won the Champions League, a Club World Cup, a European Super Cup, two La Liga championships, one Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups during his injury-plagued stint in Madrid.

He scored seven goals in 76 games across all competitions, a significant down from his 110 goals in 352 games for Chelsea.
