Ghanaian youngster Ernest Nuamah has been voted as the 2022/23 player of the season in the Danish Super Liga.

As a result of his outstanding season, he received votes from every player from the 12 clubs and was named player of the year in the Danish top division.

The 19-year-old’s mother has expressed her desire to see him play in the near future for Chelsea or Real Madrid.

After completing the Right to Dream Academy, Nuamah is still one of Ghana’s top players at the time.

The winger made a strong impression on Ghanaians during the Black Meteors’ 2023 U23 AFCON qualifying playoff match against Algeria.

“If he gets to play for either Real Madrid or Chelsea, I will be very excited,” she told Pepe Suarez TV.


“I used to be a fan of Chelsea, but because they don’t put up good performances anymore, I don’t have a soft spot for them anymore. It is the big clubs that I want him to play for.”

The adolescent sensation was an energetic presence in the first leg in Annaba and gave Abdul Fatawu Issahaku the crucial assist for the game-winning goal in the second leg as Ghana won 2-1 overall to qualify for the U23 AFCON.

Chris Hughton, the coach of Ghana, has since extended an invitation to Nuamah for the forthcoming 2023 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.
