Sam George believes that Chris Hughton has been nominated as the coach of the Black Stars

Sam Nartey George, a member of parliament, asserts that Chris Hughton has been given the vacant Black Stars coaching position by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Despite the open search for the nation’s next coach, the Ningo Prampram MP claims that the choice has already been decided.

Since Otto Addo resigned from the role following the team’s group-stage elimination from the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Ghana has been without a coach.

The GFA revealed earlier this month that more than 60 coaches have submitted applications for the position of Black Stars coach.

Chris Hughton, a former manager of Newcastle United, has already received the go-ahead, according to Sam George, who was speaking on Joy Prime TV.

Chris Hughton has already been handed the position. He received it because they needed someone they could control, the lawmaker claimed.

“An someone they may employ for their firm. someone whose choices they can influence. Let’s avoid wasting time. People use GFA to provide for their families, therefore let’s go get some food that costs money to consume.

Sam George also launched a harsh criticism of the GFA, claiming that it has been turned into a for-profit organization.

He listed one of the reasons the GFA is unreliable as the choice of left-back Abdul Baba Rahman for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“Some individuals use GFA to provide for their family. Have you forgotten what transpired during the World Cup?” said the NDC MP.

“Explain to me how Baba Rahman got into our final World Cup roster for the match. What kind of ball has he previously played? Is our GFA President not Baba Rahman’s agent?

“People in this nation shouldn’t bother us since we have already powdered our faces and are laughing,” he continued.
