Seven individuals were slain on Monday at two horticulture nurseries in Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County, south of San Francisco, according to law officials.

According to San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus, both the gunman and the victims were thought to be employees of one or both of the sites.

According to her, a more individual was in severe condition at Stanford Medical Center.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was identified as Chunli Zhao, a 67-year-old resident of Half Moon Bay. He’s being held and is being cooperative.

The sheriff estimated that there about a mile between the two places. The reason for the shooting is unknown to the police.

Around 2:22 p.m. local time, sheriff’s deputies arrived at the first site and discovered four victims who had died from gunshot wounds and a fifth who had been injured. Shortly later, three additional victims were discovered at the second site.

At 4:40 p.m., Zhao was discovered inside his car in the parking area of the Sheriff’s Office Half Moon Bay Police Substation. His car included a semiautomatic weapon, according to the officials. The sheriff’s office claimed that Zhao acted alone and that the public is not currently under threat.

According to San Mateo County Board of Supervisors President David Pine, “this is a tragic occurrence, one that we would never anticipate would occur in San Mateo County.” The degree of gun violence in our nation is totally intolerable.
