I did no wrong exiting Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music label — Lasmid

Lasmid, the ‘Friday Night’ hitmaker, has stated that he did nothing wrong by accepting a bow from the Highly Spiritual Music record label.

He expressed amazement at statements made by Kaywa, the sound engineer and owner of the Highly Spiritual record company, concerning his choice to leave the label.

Lasmid speaking on Accra-based Kingdom FM said “I didn’t know leaving Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual will be a disappointment to him. I never knew about that. I believe when you do something wrong, that is when people get hurt or feel disappointed but that is different in my case.

However, if people believe I have done something wrong, then I will address whatever issues it is at the right time. I’m still cool with Papa and I’m sure about that because we still talk. I was even at his mother’s funeral recently.”

Kaywa previously discussed the emotional impact of his signee Lasmid’s choice to leave the record label, admitting that it shattered his heart.

He added that various internal factors motivated the decision, and that despite their back-and-forth, Lasmid’s mind was made up.

“The conversation with Lasmid was back and forth, but it was prior to VGMA.” He’s been yelling ‘I want to go, I want to go’ for a long time. “There is a backstory, but I don’t want to make it public,” he explained.

Kawya, on the other hand, assured followers that the complete truth would be revealed at the appropriate time to bring clarity to the entire affair.
